TANN STAR SAFE
This is a general purpose office safe for protection of records and cash boxes. The Star safe is produced in three sizes.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
The body of the safe is 4" thick formed of an electrically welded steel outer shell and a further tough steel inner shroud to give a metal thickness of 7/16". This shroud is reinforced by manganese steel at vital areas where the total metal protection is increased to 1/2”. The shroud is embedded within a special penetration and fire-resistant material.
The whole surface of the door of the safe offers resistance to drills and other forms of attack with a metal thickness of 1 5/8" protecting a massive channel-form lock-case housing the control mechanism.
CONTROLS
The safe is normally supplied with a double bitted 9-lever key-operated lock (with duplicate keys) but two locks can be provided if required to give dual control. As an alternative, combination lock(s) can be fitted or the safe can be secured by one keylock and one combination lock.
The lock(s) act as check mechanisms to a robust and reliable system of boltwork complete with an automatic relocking device for protection against attack on the main lock by explosives.
INTERNAL FITTINGS
Adjustable shelves, and 3" deep and 6" deep lockable drawers are available as desired. Size 43/3520 can also be fitted with a 12" cupboard if required.
ANCHOR LUGS
All safes are provided with anchor lug housings in the base and anchor lugs can be supplied at slight extra cost if required. Anchor fixing is strongly recommended, particularly for size 25/1711.
The Star safe is impressively finished in dignified dark grey enamel with fluted aluminium control panel and satin chrome handle.
