Stratford Document Fire 5323D

Description

Stratford Document Firesafe

General Description
The Document Firesafe protects a wide range of irreplaceable business records in books, ledger card trays, card index systems and all modern systems of documentation.

Construction
The Document Firesafe has been specially designed and tested for the fire protection of paper documentation. Years of extensive research and testing resulted in the development of highly efficient material used for the purpose. It combines almost negligible heat transference with lightness, thus reducing handling and floor loading problems. The construction is such that the inner and outer linings are not in direct contact but join via an insulating material to minimise thermal conductivity.

Finish
The Document Firesafe is finished in a hard melamine paint. Special application of the final coat produces an attractive textured finish. The mid-green colour has been chosen to harmonize with the modern trends in office decoration. The door is trimmed with a stainless steel panel, satin chrome handwheel and key escutcheon.

Locking
The door is secured by a four-way boltwork system operated by a handweel. Locking is effected by a 7-lever security lock with keys supplied in duplicate.

Findings and Conclusion

FURNACE TEST
The Stratford Firesafe, containing papers, books and record cards was placed in a furnace, the

temperature of which was rapidly raised to over 926.5°C in accordance with British Standards Institution time/temperature scale BS 476.
